I actually made money from shorting Air NZ shares thru' my broker so no 
'sour' grapes here.

My comments really relate to the unbelievably naive, foolish and 
greed-driven actions/comments by some of the punters out there rushing to 
buy Air NZ shares after Helen Clark's comments - 'we are buying to show 
support for our national airline etc'.  The truth is that most bought 
because they wanted to be on the 'greed' bandwagon - oblivious to what Air 
NZ was worth.  There was a comment by one 'investor' on TV that 'the shares 
were $2.00 plus before so although I am paying 40 cents, it is still very 
cheap!' I wonder if she still thinks it is cheap as it has just got cheaper.
