Very interesting article in the guardian. Shows Red Bull to
be well ahead of all opposition. The market for energy drinks in the
u.k appears to be growing fast, and its good to see V being mentioned
in the article.
V is not aimed at the same market as red bull which should
help as its not in direct competition. Red Bull is very much a nighttime
drink whil V is aimed more at the daytime market.
Remains to be seen how well the advertising campaign is working
and the level of penetration the product has gained.
The hot weather in the u.k is a big plus, as is the exposure
being given to the energy drink market. The competition looks intense
but with the market growing rapidly there should be room for V.
As always distribution appears to be the key, seems not too many cans
are being spotted by the hudson family so far, looks like a wait and
see situation.
