I suggest you look up the New York Times, Business, item:

How Did So Many Get It So Wrong? By Gretchen Morgenson. ( 5 pages ); Compulsive reading!!

It discusses the massive income made by analysts and there is talk of possible court cases by investors.

If You have children, then it may be a good thing to print the article for their future education.
