Hi Robert,
It does depend a lot on whether you have a cash management account with 
"auto settle" loaded into it with your broker, and also the relationship 
with your advisor. However in this instance you will probably be ok as no 
doubt trading will resume tomorrow and you will be put in a very lucrative 
position, ( lucky this time ). Another option, again this needs to be 
clarified by someone more in the know, but I understand that relatives and 
the like ( and probably anyone else who desires to do so ), can do an off 
market transfer of shares, where the shares are simply transfered into the 
name of a different party. Effectively you could sign them over to me for 
example. Of course no money is changing hands at this point as it is not an 
off market sale, but a transfer. They are different. Obviously you would 
want to "arrange" payment externally to the process, but it could all be 
done if you trusted the person you were dealing with. Perhaps Sarah could 
comment. Or anyone else who has had experience in this area.
