I didn't see David's original recommendation nor do I know the context in
which it was given but I assume that it refers to the basic financial
principle of reducing risk associated with owning individual shares. One can
eliminate risk by holding a minimum of about 5-7 shares. The more you hold
the less individual share risk you incur. Hold less than 5 and one increases
the chances of a share single impacting on your portfolio.   
I assume this was the Point he was making.

It has got me too.   My original question was coming from the point of view
that maybe all I had to do was put say $1,000 into each of David's
recommendations and happily watch it grow at an awesome rate, (putting aside
the problem of finding 233K).  But that doesn't add up if you only hold 6 or
7.
 
The inevitable question always comes up............. "Which ones do you buy"
!!

Yes I agree. I've been trying to work out how you make 233 buys, sell few
