Text too small? |

It’s a brand new year and we’re starting it filled with optimism, momentum and a deep sense of gratitude to you - a very special supporter of Stuff Group.
As you ease back into your working year, I couldn’t let the opportunity pass to thank you so much for all your support of our journalism, our teams and our work over the past 12 months.
This email presents our 2025 Impact Report, a small selection of the stories that had a tangible, positive impact on the lives of New Zealanders last year, work that is only possible because of you.
We have been very proud to help you achieve your goals over the past 12 months and the investment you have made with us has been directly used to fund our journalists, who last year delivered more than 100,000 individual investigations, articles, videos, podcasts, events and TV news stories. As you will read in this report, their work has led to additional Government funding for stem cell transplants; the resignation of the Prime Minister’s press secretary; the reversal of deportation orders; the reinstatement of pensions; police investigations, apologies and public service reversals.
Journalism like this, which questions and digs and seeks answers from authorities for real Kiwis, is more important than ever. Organised disinformation on social media platforms is flourishing while global AI organisations are extracting value from local journalism without consent, credit or compensation. Your immense contribution to strong, independent New Zealand media plays a vital role in the health of our society.
I want to thank you personally for that partnership - but all Kiwis should thank you too, as whether they read our journalism or not, it works on their behalf, holding the powerful to account, empowering people and shining a light on life in New Zealand today.
Finally, in this report we also highlight the incredible generosity of our audiences and partners who have helped to fund thousands of Kiwi kids to have safe swimming lessons this summer. That campaign, which personally means so much to me, is still running. If you can help just one vulnerable child to be able to save themselves in the water this year, then your impact will be immeasurable. It’s not too late to donate HERE.
Thank you again for all that you do to support our organisation.
