The Board of Sanford Limited (Sanford) (NZX: SAN ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Joanne Curin to the Board as an Independent Director with effect from today.
Joanne has over 25 years of governance experience in public and private structures including large-scale global companies. Joanne has also held various senior executive positions, including as CFO of FTSE 100, ASX 50 and FTSE 250 businesses. Joanne’s sector experience includes shipping, logistics, manufacturing, engineering, construction, critical infrastructure, property development, retail, technology and healthcare.
Sanford’s Chair, Sir Rob McLeod, says he is very pleased to welcome Joanne to the Sanford Board. “Joanne’s extensive background in finance, operational focus and broad sector experience make her an excellent addition to the Sanford Board.”
Joanne is currently Deputy Chair and Audit Committee Chair for Geoquip Marine, a global offshore geotechnical engineering company.
Joanne qualified as a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland.
Joanne will retire and seek election by shareholders at Sanford’s 2024 annual shareholders’ meeting.
After careful consideration of all relevant matters, the Sanford Board has determined that Joanne is an Independent Director for the purposes of the NZX Listing Rules.
