Listed tech company Advantage is teaming up with a Latin American company to help it grab a slice of the lucrative Latin American oil market.

ADV's retail solutions business is partnering with a company called SONDA, which is one of Latin America's largest suppliers of computer technology and Internet based products and services.

The agreement will give SONDA the rights to promote, sell and support Advantage's retail oil products in several Latin American countries.

Advantage CEO, Greg Cross, says the new relationship is an example of ADV's intention to spearhead growth into the fast developing Latin American oil market.

"SONDA is a perfect partner for us, with excellent contacts and an exceptionally high profile in the Latin American IT and oil community. In particular, there are increased prospects for MAX, which is our software solution for service station automation featuring integrated fuel pump control, point of sale functionality and management reporting modules."

Advantage says in the last financial year its retail solutions business reported revenue of $20 million from African, Asian and Australasian markets, but says the Latin American market is bigger than all of those markets combined.

The company plans to target a market of over 45,000 service stations in Latin America, including ExxonMobil, Shell, BP and the local state companies.
