The US market closed higher on Wednesday following a sharp sell-off earlier in the week, with tech stocks leading the way ahead of Nvidia's earnings that could prove to be a make-or-break moment for the AI trade.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average down 0.08%, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite were up 0.18% and  0.26% respectively.

Other key markets ended lower. European stocks closed as follows: the FTSE100 (-0.47%), the Dax 30 (-0.08%), CAC 40 (-0.18%) and the STOXX (+0.13%). In Asia, the Hang Seng and Shanghai indices closed higher. The key Asian indices ended yesterday as follows: Nikkei 225(-0.34%), HSI (-0.38%) and the Shanghai Composite (+0.18%).

The yield on the US 10 - year note was at 4.135%, while the 2 - year note was at 3.596%. Oil was down to $59.32 per barrel, down 2.23%. The gold price was at US$4074.06 per ounce, up 0.19%.
