Steel & Tube Holdings Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Smyth as Chief Financial Officer, commencing on 27 April 2021.
Richard will join Steel & Tube after 16 years with SkyCity Entertainment Group, holding the role of Deputy CFO for the past seven years. Prior to this, Richard was a Director with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
CEO of Steel & Tube, Mark Malpass, said: “Richard is an experienced senior finance executive who brings broad capability to the role. He has strong technical and commercial skills, strategic thinking and extensive experience and networks in the listed company environment. Richard is well regarded for his people skills and a proven ability to work cohesively across a team. We look forward to welcoming him in April.”
Commenting on his appointment, Richard said: “I am excited about joining such an iconic New Zealand company. Steel & Tube has a strong strategy in place and I am looking forward to working with Mark and the team to drive growth and deliver value for shareholders.”
Richard has a Bachelor of Commerce, is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and is a member of the New Zealand Accounting Standards Board.
