November 22th Morning Report

US markets main indexes were mixed in volatile trading on Thursday, with Alphabet's losses weighing on the benchmark S&P 500 and the Nasdaq, while the blue-chip Dow touched a one-week high, boosted by shares of cloud company Salesforce.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 1.20%, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite were up 0.60% and  0.07%.

Other key markets ended mixed. European stocks closed as follows: the FTSE100 (+0.79%), the Dax 30 (+0.74%), CAC 40 (+0.21%) and the STOXX (+0.55%). In Asia, the Hang Seng and Shanghai indices closed higher. The key Asian indices ended yesterday as follows: Nikkei 225(-0.85%), HSI (-0.53%) and the Shanghai Composite (+0.072%).

The yield on the US 10 - year note was at 4.436%, while the 2 - year note was at 4.349%. Oil was up to $71.45 per barrel, up 1.96%. The gold price was at US$2692.50 per ounce, up 0.77%.
