Oceania Healthcare Limited (NZX, ASX: OCA) advises that it has decided to appoint Ernst & Young as the group’s new external auditor from today.
Oceania has accepted the resignation of PricewaterhouseCoopers. The decision to change the external auditor does not reflect adversely on PricewaterhouseCoopers. Rather, the Board determined that after a long period as Oceania’s external auditor it is good governance practice to change the auditor as signaled in the recent Notice of Annual Meeting of shareholders.
Ernst & Young’s appointment follows a thorough request for proposal process that was overseen by Oceania’s Audit Committee.
Oceania would like to thank PricewaterhouseCoopers for their professionalism and service over more than 15 years.
