Foley Wines Limited [NZX: FWL ] CEO Mark Turnbull today announced that the company has completed its harvest for the 2023 vintage. The harvest totalled 8,137 tonnes across the Marlborough, Martinborough and Mt Difficulty wineries, an overall decrease of 12% on last year’s harvest of 9,203 tonnes and an increase of 46% on the 2021 harvest of 5,582 tonnes.
Bank of New Zealand facilities
The Company’s banking facilities were due to be renewed in August 2023. We are delighted to advise these have been renewed for a period of 3 years. We have a great working relationship with the Bank of New Zealand and value their ongoing support.
The Runholder – Martinborough – Opening Soon
The Company is pleased to announce that its new brand home in Martinborough, The Runholder, will soon be open to visitors. Pending final council sign-offs, the 100 person restaurant, tasting room, private dining room and distillery will be open in the second half of July. Nestled on the edge of the Martinborough Terrace and with a spectacular backdrop, The Runholder is a key strategic initiative in the journey of building the Te Kairanga, Martinborough Vineyard and Lighthouse Gin brands.
Mt Difficulty Cellar Door and Restaurant Redevelopment – Building Consent Granted
The Company is pleased to also announce that building consent has now be granted to redevelop the Mt Difficulty Cellar Door and Restaurant in Bannockburn, Central Otago. The focus now is to finalise the construction programme and get building works underway as soon as practically possible. CEO Mark Turnbull said “With our current restaurant, cellar door and distillery development well underway in Martinborough, and with the redevelopment of Mt Difficulty, we will have two world class wine tourism venues in New Zealand. Besides the jobs these will create, we will have the ability to showcase our fantastic wine portfolio to both New Zealanders and the world.”
Congratulations to the Vegas Golden Knights
The Board congratulates the Vegas Golden Knights and Bill Foley for their NHL championship Stanley Cup win in just their sixth year of existence. Foley Wines raises a glass of New Zealand’s finest Pinot in celebration.
