Does anyone have recent news about Ingenium Group and
its subsidiaries, its predecessor Henley
Communications, or Cybertech Ltd.? They seem to have
some things in common: Auckland-based software
companies, with one Todd Somervell as director and
technical mastermind. (Although assessments of
Henley's/Ingenium's software - e.g. from the NBR -
suggest "mastermind" might be overstating things.) The
NZ Gazette shows Cybertech was wound up recently at
the instigation of a creditor, and Henley has also
gone into liquidation. Henley's assets were
transferred to the Ingenium Group beforehand (to the
consternation of creditors, according to news reports
from the time). Unless it's a coincidence, Ingenium's
publicity suggests Somervell's begun dropping his
first name in favour of his middle one (Andrew). The
Companies Register shows him as a director of Ingenium
and its three subsidiaries, and shows he's begun
resigning those directorships. Understandably all this
is causing some nervousness. Were Cybertech's or
Henley's creditors paid out, and if so how much?
Questions were raised about subscriptions for Henley's
IPO, withdrawn in favour of an Australian launch which
never eventuated. Does anyone know what the answers were?
