Alan what you need is a dictionary of NZ slang maybe somebody in NZ could 
tell you how to obtain one .

chook I am not sure which sense he is usng this but i take it silly fool 
would be a reasonable translation

bickie is money. Big bickies heap of cash. Small bickies Petty cash or small 
change.
