Hi
Thanks for the reply. Will go through it later. One thing I forgot
to mention:
For the long term trend I could only go back 3 years and used
weekly data.
Using a 12 month chart and daily data, the 3 highs look totally
different from the 3 year weekly data chart.
Indeed the highs on the 12 month chart look the nearest to a
Head & Shoulder pattern in a mini form. I don.t think I will be going
overboard on the H & S because to me they are difficult to identify.
Talking about H & S (I browse around) one crowd in the USA
think a H & S is forming on the Dow, but all depends on the last
leg. For it to happen the Dow would need to go down a fair bit?
The charts I use are in house (my own). I got the programme
from www.spacejock.com and download the data. The programmer
(Simon) is a nice guy and very helpful if you have a problem. Dare I
say it, he lives in Australia. The version I use is the freeware
version, which meets my needs. There is a Pro version available
which he sells for about $90 Aust, inexpensive and in my opinion
better than some very expensive programmes. The site is worth a
visit for all the other information it contains. Yes, I can draw
trendlines on the programme. I 'll have a go at sending you a copy
of the WRI chart tomorrow, and the Dow if it is of any interest to
you.
Once again, Many thanks
Bill
