[sharechat] Conpanies...why have them

        Hi folks

        I am in a teasing mood today, which could well expose my 
simplicity or dumbness, I am not sure which!

        Suppose you were on a quiz show, and the question was:
What do you associate with these three companies?
        Telecom
        Ports Auckland
        Sky City
As a savvy investor you might think, piece of cake, give me the 
prize.

What I am suggesting is that all your answers were wrong on all 
three.Why?

A company makes or provides only one thing. A profit for the 
shareholders.Otherwise!

Well am I  simple,dumb or perhaps even bananas? Tell me.
