The answer is to open an account with an Australian broker.
Your example of "Parcel of $10,000 = 0.7 plus 2.8% exchange fees - that's 3.5%
gain to break even." becomes
Brokerage A$25 each way = 0.5% gain to break even. Or, if 6+ trades/month
Brokerage A$20 each way = 0.4% gain to break even.
Quite a difference, yes?
