Its not over for Frucor yet. Analyst opinion seems to regard
the bid as rather on the low side, especially considering
Frucors growth prospects. The share price going up again today
tends to confirm this feeling.
If the french company seriously wants 90% i suspect they will
have to up the offer to 2.80 plus.
The bad news however could be that they have inside knowledge that
the u.k operation is not doing so well. Remember they are buying
a large parcel of shares from bain who should have a good idea
of how the U.K operation is going. If this is the case then they may
well have made a shrewd bid.
On a more optimistic note, if the U.K is going well then 2.35 will
be nowhere near enough. Next few weeks should be interesting
