[sharechat] WNC - ex directors' Companies Office prosecution

From: "Ian Andrews" <iandrews@ihug.co.nz>

Per NZ Press Association report.

3 of the 4 ( Trevor Mason (former Chairman) of Dunedin , Dianne Giles now of
Wellington & Paul Hyslop of Auckland ) changed their pleas to some charges
to "guilty" in the Dunedin High Court on Tuesday.Johnson has yet to plead.
The hearing was adjourned for 3 weeks.

Mason is the only one still on WNC's board. It would be surprising if he
doesn't step down as soon as the Annual Report is delivered.

Most of the shareholdings of the previous WNC "insiders" have either been
sold onmarket or put into trust.

The shares have jumped 50% this week , perhaps a "relief rally" after the
guilty pleas? I'll wait until I see the Annual Report to 31 March , which
according to "best practice" should be out this week.

All eyes will be on Tim Connell to see how quickly he can shovel away WNC's
untidy legacy while at the same time building real shareholder value in
publishing & IT.
