Has the stock exchange given a rational explanation for its waiver of the the takeover and pause provisions of this transaction?

Maybe a quiet word from the mergers and acquisitions department from the stock exchange member advising Lion Nathan is all that is required for the exchange to ride rough shod over the interests of minority shareholders.

Paul Swains legislation, to regulate by statute, takeovers can not come quick enough in my opinion.
