[sharechat] Fw: Submarines Australasia - New Share Issue - Update

From: "Philip Robinson" <robph639@student.otago.ac.nz>
Date: Wed, 25 Oct 2000 16:48:05 +1300

I just got this and thought that those forecasting the company going under
can see what they think.

> UPDATE
> I was fortunate to attend the official unveiling of Submarine Adventures
> submarine Antipodes in Dunedin's Octagon last Thursday. Dunedin's Deputy
> Mayor Dame Elizabeth Hanan officially christened the vessel, pouring
> Otago harbour seawater over the giant acrylic viewport of the submarines
> high-pressure hull in a ceremony that drew over 2,000 people. The
> submarine, Antipodes, and its barge (these two assets are worth more
> than NZ$3 million) will shortly travel to their new home Milford Sound,
> where Antipodes will take fee-paying passengers on a 800 foot deep guided
tour
> of the Sound. Photos of the unveiling and the latest news on Submarine
Adventures can be found at:
>

>
>
> SHAREHOLDER BENEFITS
> At last Thursday's Submarine Adventures' Board meeting the Directors
> confirmed their shareholder benefits programme. Shareholders can dive on
> a confirmed basis for $250 off-peak (usual rate is $395) and during peak
> time for $395 (usual rate is $495). It is intended that these benefits
> will transfer to shareholders of Submarines Australasia.
>
>
> MANUFACTURING
> During my visit to Dunedin I took the opportunity to inspect the
> engineering facilities where Submarine Adventures plans to manufacture
> deep-dive submarines. The facilities are first class and feedback
> confirms the quality of the staff and facilities. Submarine Adventures
> has three serious inquiries to manufacture deep-dive submarines and
> expects to confirm its first order in early 2001.
>
> Further information about Submarine Adventures is on the website:

> SHARE ISSUE
> To recap it is intended that Submarines Australasia will after the
> completion of the share issue acquire, by way of a share swap, Submarine
> Adventures. Submarine Adventures is the Dunedin based deep-dive
> submarine tourism and research company, that was set up in October 1999.
> Submarine Adventures plans to operate two deep-dive tourism submarines
> at Milford Sound and at other locations in Australasia and already has
> consents to operate up to three deep-dive submarines from Queenstown.
>
> We have received strong interest in the listing of Submarines
> Australasia on the New Capital Market (NCM). The interest is such that
> we have had to reprint the prospectus, with over 675 prospectus requests
> so far.
>
> Submarines Australasia's share issue is 1.2 million ordinary shares at
> 50c a share. The minimum investment is 1,000 shares ($500) and the
> maximum 24,000 ($12,000). There will be 2 million shares on issue at the
> completion of the share issue. Once the share issue is completed the
> Company will list on the NZSE as a New Capital Market company (NCM).
