CER said its Certified Organics business continued to grow in Australia after receiving initial commercial agricultural registration in July.
That enabled Certified Organics to drive first sales of its pine extract-based BioWeed Control herbicide to the Australian viticultural industry.
In doing so it lifted sales for the three months to the end of September by 25% to $796,000.
Direct marketing company NZ Nature achieved domestic sales growth of 24%, reaching $320,000.
Despite the impact of the high New Zealand dollar, domestic growth was supported by a continued upswing internationally for the business, CER said.
During the quarter the group bought Australian sustainable environmental management company, Vital Resource Management which specialised in microbial products that treated soil and water.
It had significant contracts with Queensland sugar cane growers, and in September made its first sales contribution of above $300,000 to the group.
CER's shares were up 0.1c to 10c in mid-afternoon today, having ranged between 11.5c and 3.6c in the past year.
