Fletcher Building December notes pay 11.75 percent interest

Building products company Fletcher Building will pay 11.75 percent interest on its December 2002 capital notes, the company said today.

The record date for the notes is October 29, with the payment date on December 16. The interest period is for 184 days.

Fletcher Building will pay 10.8 percent interest for 183 days on its November 2003 capital notes, and 8.55 percent for 183 days on its June 2003 notes.

The company's Australian shares, issued in September to help fund its $A645 million ($NZ745.8 million) purchase of Australian company Laminex Group, last traded on Friday at $A2.57.
