Oyster Bay appoints independent director

The board of Oyster Bay Marlborough Vineyards has appointed Ross Keenan as an independent director to fill the casual vacancy created by John Maasland's decision not to seek re-election.

Keenan has an extensive background in the aviation and tourism industries and has held key executive appointments in Air New Zealand, Qantas, both in New Zealand and overseas, and Newmans Group.

He was a director of Corporate Investments Limited when it owned Montana Wines and is currently chairman of Cabletalk Group, Southern Travel Group and Allied Workforce Limited, and a director of Ngai Tahu Holdings Corporation and Watercare Services Limited.

Keenan has a commerce degree in economics and finance.
