Lion long-timer new chairman

Long-serving Lion Nathan (NZSE: LNN) board member Geoff Ricketts has been appointed the brewer's new chairman.

Mr Ricketts replaces Douglas Myers, who has retired from the position.

The new chairman has been on Lion Nathan board since the merger with L.D Nathan in 1988, and had been a director of L.D. Nathan since 1981.

He is a consulting partner in the New Zealand law firm, Russell McVeagh, and also an investor and company director.

Mr Rickett's directorships include the New Zealand Stock Exchange, Spotless Group, Todd Corporation and he is the New Zealand Chairman of Royal and Sun Alliance Group.
