Capital Properties' (NZSE: CNZ) vacant space has dropped to 1.8% of its portfolio following a new leasing agreement for an Auckland building.

The property company has leased 4,400 square metres of space in Oracle Tower in Auckland's Wakefield Street to Land Information New Zealand.

The tenant is taking three office floors and some ground floor space commencing early next year, with two of the three office floors signed up for nine years.

"This leasing in significant for CNZ as it substantially reduces vacant space to 1.8% of the total portfolio and means Oracle Tower in now fully leased," the company says.

As at the end of March CNZ's vacancy rate was 3.9%.
