Westpac Self-Funding Instalments over securities in LLC

Re: Westpac Self-Funding Instalments over securities in Lend Lease Corporation Limited (LLC) - Renounceable Entitlement Offer

Westpac Banking Corporation is the issuer of the following Westpac Self-Funding Instalments over securities in Lend Lease Corporation Limited (LLC).

On 25 February 2010, LLC announced that it would undertake a renounceable entitlement offer of 5 new securities for every 22 eligible LLC securities held on the Record Date, at an issue price of $7.70 per new security. The Record Date for this entitlement offer is 2 March 2010.

The Westpac Self-Funding Instalments mentioned above will be suspended from 25 February 2010.

Westpac will provide a subsequent announcement to advise the market when the Westpac Self- Funding Instalments mentioned above will recommence trading, and whether any adjustments are to be made in relation to the entitlement offer.
