GENERAL: PLU: Pulse Energy Brings Lower Cost Electricity to Buller

Homes in the Buller region now have the option to purchase electricity from Pulse Energy, one of New Zealand's fastest growing power companies.

Independent electricity retailer Pulse Energy will offer lower cost electricity to households in Buller, following its official launch in Westport today. Not only will Pulse charge a lower standard variable rate for power, but significant savings may also be made through the use of Pulse's time-of-use Smart Metering technology. Smart Meters allow customers to accurately monitor their own usage and take advantage of discounted rates at off-peak times.

Pulse Energy is part-owned by Buller Electricity Ltd. (BEL) and hopes to develop important synergies for both companies in this relationship.
