New Independent Director at PGG Wrightson Finance

PGG Wrightson Finance (PWF) has appointed Graeme Hansen as an independent director following the resignation of Noel Bates from the Board effective 1 September 2010.

Mr Hansen is the former Managing Director of Barclays Global Private Banking, based in London, UK and was also the Chief Executive for Barclays Bank in Canada, Australia and New Zealand. He was a member of the Wealth Management Executive Committee leading Barclays Group activities in the retail banking sector and was Chairman of the Boards of the Private Bank in the UK, Switzerland and Singapore. He was most recently Chief Executive of the New Zealand Racing Board.

He has a great deal of expertise in change and improvement programmes across diverse corporate cultural and regulatory environments and is a Board member and advisor on spinal cord impairment sector opportunities with the New Zealand Spinal Trust.

Mr Bates is leaving the Board to focus more on his consulting business. We have valued his counsel and his contribution to PGG Wrightson Finance, particularly in relation to his work with the Credit Committee.
