GENERAL: NZX: Changes to 'EX-REC"

31 August 2010 - NZX advises that further to our announcement of 20 August 2010 regarding the change to the ex-rec period, two Issuers have announced a dividend with a Record Date of 3 September 2010.

These additional events also coincide with the cutover to the new settlement system. To ensure that trades executed prior to the Record Date for these Issuers can be settled in the new system correctly, they must also trade "ex-dividend". The new "ex-rec" period will therefore be applied to these additional Issuers as follows:

VCT: XD-1/9, RD-3/9 ING: XD-1/9, RD-3/9

The weekly diary published on 27 August 2010 reflects the change to these and other corporate actions with a Record Date on or after 1 September 2010.

The new ex-rec period will apply to any other Issuer announcements of corporate actions with a Record Date on or after 1 September 2010.
