GENERAL: NZX: NZX Announces New Independent Software Vendor
May 27 2010 - NZX announces that global independent software vendor CQG, Inc.
has successfully completed development to the NZX Derivatives Market.
CQG will provide global customers with trading and market data access to
NZX's Derivatives Market, to be launched this year.
Established in the United States in 1980, and expanding to Europe and Asia,
CQG provides the industry's highest performing integrated solution for trade
routing, global market data, and advanced technical analysis. CQG partners
with more than 40 futures firms and provides access to more than 35 exchanges
worldwide.
"To have a software solution of the sophistication and global reach of CQG,
means the NZX Derivatives Market will be accessible to a multitude of new
global customers," said NZX Head of Markets Fiona Mackenzie.
"CQG is dedicated to providing traders with affordable low-latency access to
markets throughout the world, and is pleased to be working with NZX as it
expands its derivatives offerings," said Leighton Andrew, CQG's Head of Sales
for Asia, Pacific and Japan.
NZX will launch a range of derivative products in 2010 including derivatives
on globally traded dairy commodities. The first of these will be Whole Milk
Powder Futures.
In addition, EnergyHedge Limited and NZX are working through the key
