GENERAL: NZX: NZX congratulates Scott St John on his contribution as SIA

27 May 2010 - NZX congratulates outgoing Chairman of the Securities Industry Association, Scott St John, on his outstanding contribution to the New Zealand's capital markets through his role as Chair of the SIA.

"Scott has contributed enormously to New Zealand's capital markets. NZX thanks Scott for his skill, time, and effectiveness in this critical role. Scott's leadership as inaugral Chair of the SIA, and his work over the past seven years, have been instrumental in establishing the SIA as an important body, securing highly effective relationships with NZX," said NZX CEO Mark Weldon.

The 10-member SIA represents all NZX Market Participants with the mutual goal of developing and improving the New Zealand capital markets.

NZX looks foward to working with incoming SIA Chairman, Frank Aldridge, of Craigs Investment Partners.
