GENERAL: NZX: Pyne Gould Corporation joins the NZX 50 Index today

18 January 2010 - Pyne Gould Corporation Limited (PGC) has moved into the NZX 50 Index, following the latest NZX Index review. ?

Pyne Gould Corporation Limited will replace Skellerup Holdings Limited (SKL) in the NZX 50 Index.

?Companies eligible to be included in the NZX 50 are ranked by 6 month average free-float market capitalisation, and required to meet liquidity requirements to be added to the index. The NZX Equity Indices are the primary benchmarks for the New Zealand sharemarket, and are widely used by investment professionals and the general public.

This change was announced in an Index Memo on 8 January 2010 and is effective from today.
