The Board of NZ Windfarms Limited ("NWF") has considered director candidates
to fill the vacancy arising from the resignation of Juliet McKee in June
2010. Following this consideration, Michael Allen has been appointed as a
director of the company with effect from 1 September 2010. In accordance
with the Company's constitution, this appointment runs until the next Annual
General Meeting when he must retire and seek re-election by the shareholders.
Michael Allen is a professional director with over 25 years experience in
investment banking, direct investment and general management. He previously
led the Westpac Institutional Bank in New Zealand and was part of Westpac's
senior strategy groups in New Zealand and Australia. Prior to this he led
Southpac's mergers and acquisitions business in New Zealand.
Other current directorships include PGW Finance (Chair), Godfrey Hirst NZ,
Retirement Villages Group, Tainui Group Holdings and a number of private
companies.
Michael Allen was proposed as a candidate by one of the company's
institutional investors, AMP Capital.
