Nuplex strengthens senior executive team

Nuplex Industries Limited, the international industrial resins and specialties group, today announced the appointment of two additional members to its senior executive team.

Mr Paul Davey will join Nuplex on 21 July 2010, in the newly created role of Vice President Human Resources, focusing on HR policies and systems, organisation development, recruitment and talent management, succession planning, remuneration and benefits, and learning and development.

"Paul comes to Nuplex with deep HR experience having spent the last ten years with the Nestle Group working across Europe, Asia, Australasia and Africa" said Nuplex's chief executive, Emery Severin. "This new role reflects the high importance we place on the development of our key asset, our people".

Mr Hasan Shafi has been appointed as Vice President Corporate Development & Planning and will commence employment with Nuplex on 9 August 2010. With a background initially in science and mechanical engineering, Hassan Shafi comes to Nuplex having spent ten years with AT Kearney, where he was recently a Principal in the Sydney office. Mr Severin said "Hasan brings to this role excellent experience in areas spanning M&A, particularly post-merger integration, operations improvement, supply management, business transformation and organisation re-design."
