EASTERN BAY ENERGY TRUST TAKEOVER OFFER NOT TO BE MADE

The trustees of the Eastern Bay Energy Trust, the proposed Offeror for Horizon Energy Distribution Limited ("Horizon") shares, have advised Horizon that the offer proposed under a takeover notice issued on 13 January 2010 will not be made.
