OFFEROR'S TAKEOVER POLL RESULT DELAYED

Today the trustees of the Eastern Bay Energy Trust, the proposed Offeror for Horizon Energy Distribution Limited ("Horizon") shares under a takeover notice issued on 13 January 2010, announced that the counting of its poll of consumer-beneficiaries has been delayed following a court hearing. A copy of that press release is attached.

Horizon is not aware of any other relevant information in this matter other than that set out in the attached release.
