Guinness Peat Group plc ("the Company") announces that it has been informed by Accident Compensation Corporation ("ACC") of New Zealand that on 10 June 2010 ACC increased its beneficial interest to 77,969,925 ordinary shares in the Company which equates to 4.29% of the Company's total voting rights.
