APN AND FAIRFAX MEDIA ANNOUNCE ONLINE VENTURE

SYDNEY, February 22, 2010 - APN News & Media Limited [ASX,NZX:APN] today announced an in principle agreement has been reached with Fairfax Media to become the exclusive reseller of www.domain.com.au, www.mycareer.com.au, and www.drive.com.au in APN's regional Australian markets.

The venture represents an important step in APN's online strategy, delivering local advertisers for the first time a regional presence across print and online, and also access to world class technology platforms with national reach.

APN News & Media Chief Executive Officer, Mr Brendan Hopkins said: "We welcome the opportunity to be the exclusive reseller of such well known online brands, and this type of agreement will allow APN to build a strong and relevant online presence for advertisers and consumers.

"This agreement shows APN's ability and willingness to partner with others to meet our goal of being the leading multimedia operator in each of our local markets."

This is not material to the Company's results in the short term.
